Having worked within the photographic retail industry for over 20 years I've learned a lot about taking images and the ever changing equipment needed to capture the moment. I have used many different brands and types of equipment including Minolta, Nikon, Panasonic and currently Sony mirrorless. As time has moved on the size, weight and image quality has become more important to me, at the end of the day the best camera is the one you have with you I find so small and light works best for me.
My passion for photography started when my late mother purchased a fixed lens 35mm point and shoot camera and I found myself picking it up all the time and snapping away. Moving on many years and the equipment and technology is as much a part of my journey as capturing the image. Having learned from local professionals like Ross Hoddinott based in North Cornwall who has helped me focus my work into seeing beyond just the basics and using the light to make the image natural and beautiful.
